This is Cozumel offers reservations of tours and other services (“products”) through its website ( Our Terms and Conditions contain important legal information and obligations and form the basis on which we accept reservations, so please read them carefully.

Unless otherwise stated, reservations made through the website are subject to these Terms and Conditions and the person making the reservation shall be deemed to have accepted these conditions on behalf of everyone in the reservation. Variations to these Terms and Conditions will only be valid if made in writing with the authority of This is Cozumel.

Pricing and Inclusions/Exclusions

  1. We guarantee you the lowest price.
    1. If you book with us and then find the same product cheaper, let us know at least 48 hours before the service date and we'll refund the difference plus 10% of the difference.
    2. After checking it is an identical product available for the same time and date, we make the refund within 10 working days.
  2. Prices listed on are per person and in US Dollars, unless otherwise specified.
  3. Price quotations are subject to change without notice, until a reservation has been confirmed.
  4. Unless otherwise specified, prices include any local taxes or other fees, there are no hidden extras.
  5. Prices do not include optional tips/gratuities.

Availability, Payments and Cancellations

  1. We provisionally confirm availability before taking any payment. Final availability is not confirmed until the payment is received. If the product is found not to be available we will let you know and offer you an alternative product or full refund.
  2. Deposits and payments are taken to guarantee your reservation. They are not refundable unless you are arriving on a cruise ship and it cancels its stop in Cozumel, or, if the service is cancelled by us or the service provider (e.g. if a water activity tour were to be cancelled in the case of choppy seas).
  3. If you are on a cruise and your ship changes route and doesn't stop in Cozumel, or if we or the service provider have to cancel your reservation for any reason, we will refund your deposit or payment, in full, within 5 working days of the reservation date. In some cases we may require written evidence from the cruise line confirming your itinerary was changed by them.
  4. If you are on a cruise and your ship changes the date it stops in Cozumel, we will reschedule you for the new date, or, if there is no availability, we will refund your deposit or payment, in full, within 5 working days of the reservation date. In some cases we may require written evidence from the cruise line confirming your itinerary was changed by them.
  5. Payments through the This is Cozumel website are accepted by Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit or debit card. Payments for reservations made by phone, email, text message, WhatsApp or our website chat, are accepted by Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit or debit card, PayPal or bank transfer.
  6. Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit or debit card payments will show on your account PayPal payments will show as being made to Communication Common Ltd and/or PAYPAL - CCTOURPAY.
  7. Additional ID may be required from the cardholder for Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit or debit card payments and part-payments, made for reservations with a value of $250 USD or more, for fraud prevention reasons.
  8. For some products the balance payment will need to be paid in cash in Cozumel, your E-ticket will make it clear if this is the case. US Dollar bills or Mexican Pesos are accepted. If paying in Mexican Pesos the final balance will be calculated using the service providers' exchange rate on the day of the service.
  9. This is Cozumel can accept payments by Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit or debit cards. In some cases we can also accept payment by U.S. bank transfer or PayPal, but this is not guaranteed. Card transactions to us will show on your account as THISISCOZUMEL.COM. PayPal payments to us will show as being made to CCTOURPAY, PAYPAL - CCTOURPAY or Communication Common Ltd.
  10. Online payments by card are made over a secure, encrypted internet page and processed by Stripe, a third-party payment provider with headquarters in the U.S. We do not see or store your card details but Stripe does, in accordance with standard card processing laws.
  11. Payments by card over the phone are also processed by Stripe. We do not write down or store your card details but Stripe does, in accordance with standard card processing laws.
  12. If you cancel with less than 48 hours notice or do not arrive to take the service by the agreed time ("no-show") you will not receive a refund and you authorize us to charge any remaining balance to the card you used to make the reservation, except if you are on a cruise and your ship changes route and doesn't stop in Cozumel.

Product Validity and Reservation Changes

  1. Occasionally our suppliers and/or service providers make changes to tour dates, prices, inclusions, coverage, age requirements, etc. As a result, This is Cozumel reserves the right to cancel, change or substitute any service, tour, ticket or product that you have booked at, at any time, for any reason.
    1. In such cases, if you are dissatisfied with the alternatives offered, you are entitled to a full refund of what you have paid.
    2. Notwithstanding the above, when we are informed in advance by our agents, service providers and/or suppliers of a significant change to a booking and/or to a tour, product or event, we make every reasonable effort to notify the consumer, travel agent and/or distributor as appropriate, in order to amend or re-issue the booking where feasible.
  2. We make very effort to ensure all information about the tours, activities and services we offer is correct. However, if anything is different to how we described it when you take the tour, activity or service, let us know in writing within 48 hours and we will consider making a partial refund proportional to the effect of the changes.
  3. Requests for changes to reservations must be directed to the This is Cozumel using the contact information here or by replying to one of the emails you received from us. We will then process the request.
  4. Changes to the reservation date/time or other details (e.g. tour version or number of guests) will be made subject to availability, but there is no guarantee and a minimum administration fee of $20 USD will be charged for any successful changes.
  5. If you are on a cruise and it changes the date it is due to stop in Cozumel we will change your reservation to the new date, for no extra charge. If there is no availability for the new date we will offer you a different product or a full refund (see Payments and Cancellations).

Independent Service Providers

  1. When we act as an agent making a reservation with an independent service provider this will be clearly stated with the name of the service provider on the reservation E-ticket.
  2. While we select who we work with carefully, This is Cozumel makes no representations or warranties of any kind regarding independent service providers or their services.
  3. When receiving confirmation of a reservation with an independent service provider, customers acknowledge and agree that, in addition to This is Cozumel's standard Terms and Conditions, This is Cozumel nor its agents are liable for any accidents, losses, injuries, damages, delays, expenses due to any action or inaction on the part of the service provider or their services.
  4. If for any reason you do not want a reservation with the service provider we have confirmed you can contact us within 48 hours (or up to 48 hours before the service date, whichever sooner) using the contact form here or by replying to one of the emails you received from us. We will then offer you the same service with another provider or cancel and refund any payment you have made in full.

Cruise Ship Times

  1. We are happy to give advice to cruise ship passengers and have never had a customer miss a cruise ship departure, but ultimately it is your responsibility to make sure you will arrive in time for your reservation and get back to your ship in time for its departure.
  2. We recommend that you arrive back to your ship at least one hour before it departs.
  3. Some cruises have a "ship time" one or two hours ahead of local Cozumel time. For example, 10am ship time (on your itinerary), could be 9am Cozumel time, so please double check with your cruise line if you are not sure or ask our advice.

  1. E-tickets are required for all reservations. They show how much (if anything) is due on arrival, and include important directions and local contact details.
  2. It may take us up to 48 hours to send you your E-ticket after you've paid or made a deposit for your reservation. If you need it more urgently please contact: U.S. Toll-Free: 1-866-677-0058 or Cozumel/WhatsApp: (+52) 1-987-111-5284 and give the name the reservation was made under and we will send your E-ticket sooner. Your reservation is NOT confirmed until your E-ticket is issued.
  3. Unless your E-ticket says otherwise, it is not necessary to print it out, you can simply have it available on your phone or write down the important details -- including the meeting point and reservation number -- to take with you.
  4. It is your responsibility to receive, READ and take your E-ticket with you. If you don't receive your E-ticket check your spam folder first in case it went there by mistake. If you still don't see it then you should contact us and we will re-send it.

Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

  1. Under no circumstances will This is Cozumel or its agents be liable for any of the following losses or damage (whether such losses where foreseen, foreseeable, known or otherwise): (a) loss of data; (b) loss of revenue or anticipated profits; (c) loss of business; (d) loss of opportunity; (e) loss of goodwill or injury to reputation; (f) losses suffered by third parties; or (g) any indirect, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising from the use of regardless of the form of action.
  2. This is Cozumel in making reservations for tours, car rentals, transportation or any service in connection with the itineraries of individual customers, shall not be liable for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity, liability or expense to person or property due to act of default by any service provider or other company or person providing services included in the reservation.
  3. Furthermore, This is Cozumel accepts no responsibility for any sickness, pilferage, labour disputes, machinery breakdown, government restrains, acts of war and/or terrorism, weather conditions, defect in any vehicle of transportation or for any misadventure or casualty or any other causes beyond their control.
  4. This is Cozumel’s content - including the information, names, images, pictures, logos, prices, dates, and availability regarding or relating to This is Cozumel and/or service provide is provided “AS IS” and on an “AS AVAILABLE” basis without any representations or any kind of warranty made (whether express or implied by law) to the extent permitted by law, including the implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security and accuracy.
  5. At This is Cozumel we check and recheck the details about all the products and services we offer for accuracy. However, This is Cozumel does not warrant that functionality, content or information contained on website will be uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected, or that or the servers that make it available are free of viruses or bugs.
  6. If any of these terms are determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable by reason of the laws of any state or country in which these terms are intended to be effective, then to the extent and within the jurisdiction in which that term is illegal, invalid or unenforceable, it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and the remaining terms shall survive, remain in full force and effect and continue to be binding and enforceable.

This is Cozumel Gift Certificates

  1. Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash.
  2. Reservations made with gift certificates are subject to availability.
  3. Gift certificates are valid for one year from date of purchase.
  4. Gift certificates can be applied towards reservations of a greater value than the credit value, with the difference being paid by separately, but if the reservation value is lower than the credit value change cannot be given.
  5. In the unlikely event of a reservation being cancelled by us or the service provider, the refund of the certificate value will be made in the form of another This is Cozumel gift certificate.
  6. Normal tour Terms and Conditions still apply for reservations made with gift certificates.
  7. This is Cozumel reserves the right to cancel gift certificates obtained fraudulently.
  8. This is Cozumel is not responsible for stolen or lost gift certificates.
  9. All gift certificate sales are final and are not refundable.

Passports, Visas and Insurance

  1. It is the responsibility of all passengers, regardless of nationality and destination, to check with the consulate of the country they are visiting for current entry requirements.
  2. As visa and health requirements are subject to change without notice, we recommend that you verify health and visa requirements with the appropriate consulate prior to departure.
  3. We strongly recommend that you purchase a comprehensive Travel Insurance Policy prior to departure. If you cancel your trip or significantly alter travel dates, many policies will reimburse the cost of cancellation fees and related expenses.
