Thousands turned out to dance in the streets and later watch a free open air concert with Latin American music stars including La Sonora de Margarita. |

Tonight will see Cozumel's main square, Parque Benito Juárez, packed for the presentation of prizes and the official closing of the event this year.

Tired but happy, Cozumeleños will reluctantly say goodbye to the spirit of Carnival for another year.
You can expect to see more than a few tears as the traditional effigy of Juan Carnaval is burnt. Still, the eyes will be dry again tomorrow when the preparations start for Cozumel Carnival 2010! |
