The dates have been set for Cozumel Carnival 2020 and the biggest celebrations and parades will be on the nights of Saturday, February 22; Sunday, February 23 and Fat Tuesday, February 25, 2020.

In the weeks before the main events you can also expect an exciting program of Carnival warm-up events including the election and presentation of Carnival Kings and Queens, with dancing, performances, and live music from top singers and groups.

For the main week of celebrations, there will be a massive island party, with costumed revellers battling in dancing competitions and bands playing live music around the city.

The three grand parades see crowds lining the oceanfront streets, dancing with the performers and catching gifts that are showered on them as the Carnival wagons pass by.

'Fat Tuesday' concludes events every year with dazzling technicolor processions along Cozumel's seafront downtown and a live concert finale outside city hall.

The island's spectacular annual Mardis Gras has over 140 years of history and whether you're a local or a visitor, old or young, you'll find something in the rhythm of Cozumel's Carnival that will bring a smile to your face and a sway to your hips.
