Did you miss tipping your favorite Cozumel waiter or bartender because you had to cancel your trip? Maybe you could spare the dollars for our campaign now instead...

Our campaign to raise money for food parcels has got off to a great start and we are almost half way to our $7,500 target, a massive ¡gracias! to all that have helped so far. We can't stop and need another push to reach the target though, so please keep supporting and sharing!

Cozumel depends on tourism but now the island has no tourists. Due to the corona crisis, cruise ships stopped visiting abruptly mid-March and most hotels were evacuated by the end of March. The economy and employment have been devastated and are not expected to start recovering for many months.

The poorest on the island are struggling to feed their families but a number of local organizations are helping by distributing food parcels. This is Cozumel, has teamed up with two of them, Cáritas and Coparmex, and launched Food Aid Cozumel on April 30, 2020, a campaign to raise funds so they can continue this important work.

Please support and share to help those most in need. A donation of just $20 is enough to buy 2 food parcels that will give a family of 5 the basics they need for about 4 days. Our campaign target is to raise at least $7,500 so we can help 50 families or more for 30 days.

Did you miss tipping your favorite Cozumel waiter or bartender because you had to cancel your trip? Everyone who works in tourism (including a lot of waiters and bartenders) has been out of work for well over a month already. Maybe you could spare the dollars for our campaign now instead?
