Transcaribe and Ultramar Carga operate the vehicle ferry route between Cozumel and Calica, just south of Playa del Carmen, on the mainland.

The vehicle ferry pier in Cozumel is about a mile south of downtown and the ferries connect with the port of Calica, about 5 miles south of Playa del Carmen on the mainland.
The regular price each way for a car and passengers is around $30 and promotional rates are sometimes available. Larger vehicles must pay more.
There are 4-7 departures daily in each direction, including night-time crossings and the trip takes about an hour.
