Visit the highlights of downtown Cozumel on an accessible bus with wheelchair/scooter lift.
Departing at 9am or 12 noon, this new 3 hour accessible bus tour is a relaxed, unrushed way to see the highlights of the historic town of San Miguel, with spare time for shopping and looking around the main square.
The bus can take up to 2 wheelchair or scooter users at a time and is fully accessible by hydraulic lift. Your professional, English-speaking guide will be pleased to show you the best access at each of the stops you make.
First you visit urban Cozumel where you can see how locals live, before stopping at San José del Mar church. Here you'll see the history of Cozumel depicted on 4 beautiful new stained glass windows.
Next you head back to the oceanfront making a stop at the monument to the Mayan goddess Ixchel.
A little further along the beachfront you'll also learn about the island's air force base and can take irresistible Instagram snaps with the snarling fighter planes grounded outside.
You also have the option to try some tequila for free by the downtown plaza before having about 45 minutes to explore the stores and stalls dotted around the pretty tree-lined square.
You'll have plenty of opportunities to hear about the island's history and culture, as well as free time to get those authentic souvenirs you've been looking for in the local stores around the main plaza.
Don't miss the chance for selfies by the colorful Cozumel sign, golden eagles and giant Mexican flag, then it's time to hop back on the bus and return back along the bay of San Miguel.

For cruise passengers arriving to the Puerta Maya or International SSA cruise terminals the meeting point is opposite the terminals, about a 3 minute walk from the terminal exit (most Carnival, RCCL and some others). The route from the ship includes some small changes in level on the sidewalk and street crossing, but is accessible.
For cruise passengers arriving to the Punta Langosta cruise terminal the meeting is at the terminal (most NCL, Disney, MSC and some others).
Guests staying at hotels in Cozumel should go to the meeting point opposite the International SSA cruise terminal, full directions will be on your E-ticket. Contact us for prices if you will also need wheelchair accessible transfers to/from the meeting point.
Guests arriving on the ferry from Playa del Camen should go to the meeting point opposite the International SSA cruise terminal, about a 5-10 minute taxi ride from the ferry pier. Contact us for prices if you will also need wheelchair accessible transfers to/from the meeting point.
Our guides and drivers are helpful and willing and will assist passengers as much as possible, but they cannot push wheelchairs or lift wheelchair or scooter users.
Wheelchair and scooter users should still make sure they have someone else in their group to assist if necessary.
The wheelchair/scooter area on the bus is open air at the rear.
The maximum width for wheelchairs/scooters on the lift is 30" (76cm), maximum length is 43" (109cm) and maximum weight (combined chair/scooter and user) is 440 lbs (200kg). Please check you are within these limits, if not the service will be cancelled without refund on the day.
It's important that the wheelchair or scooter has good brakes as it may not be tethered inside the bus.

All participants will be required to sign a waiver.
All participants under the age of 18 years old must be accompanied by a legal guardian or parent.
Participants must comply with all the instructions given by the staff.
